Setting up the slideshow on your home page.

To add photo’s to your home page slideshow the photo’s must already be in your media library. See Media Library for instructions on adding photo’s to your media library.

The home page photo slideshow uses a template page called “Home Slideshow” and is activated by default when you sign up.

To ensure the Home Slideshow template is being used click on Pages -> All Pages see for the home page.

The Page Attributes box allows you to select templates. See below. If Home Slideshow is not already selected select it now.

In the Theme Options box Show Title on Page should not be checked. See in the illustration below.  If it’s checked go ahead and uncheck it.

Click the Update button when done.

Click on Skitter Slideshow from the main menu under Settings.

Section will display all of your photo’s from the media library. Click on each photo you want to add to your home page slideshow.

Section will show the current photo’s in your slideshow.

For each photo in your slideshow you can select the transition effect you want. See below. e.g. selecting fade will fade out the photo as the next photo fades in.

There are two places available on each photo to add a “Label” and “Link”. Entering a label will display your text at the bottom of your photo with an overlay transparent background. Entering a URL in the Link form will make that photo clickable linking to the url you enter.

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page when you are done setting up your slideshow.
